ABOUT US

Informative and exciting sea safari tours...

Exploring the best of what beautiful North Cornwall has to offer, by sea, really has to be a bucket list choice for anybody who wants a thrilling escorted trip out to sea on Port Isaac's Speedboat service 'Boaty'. Now with a faster and slightly larger boat for 2022 (the Free Spirit), your trip will combine adrenalin and a wealth of trivia about the local area and landmarks from your experienced skipper, Jeremy Brown. You may even be lucky enough to see local wildlife in their natural habitats including seals and dolphins.

The Free Spirit is a powerful twin engined speedboat capable of carrying up to 12 passengers. We announce our upcoming trips on our Facebook page and, because of changing weather and tidal patterns, we generally accept bookings up to around a week in advance. Want the boat to yourselves? We can hire the skippered vessel for private bookings and a more customisable experience too.

USEFUL INFO

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions of what to expect and how to prepare for your trip:

Cornwall is famed for its ability to have 4 seasons in a single day and it's always a good idea to plan for any eventuality. But, as a general rule, you should bring warm clothing (we'll provide life jackets) and beachwear for your lower half as there is a chance that you may get splashed. You'll also need to be able to confidently board the boat and climb the rungs of a ladder, so flat plimsoles or non-slip trainers are advisable. And don't forget the suntan cream too. Even in the Spring and Autumn months, the UV levels here, especially with the sea reflecting rays, can be higher than in other areas of the U.K.
We're always monitoring weather and tidal conditions and if the weather isn't looking good, or safe enough to sail, we'll advise those who have made a booking with us that we can either arrange another trip when it's safe to do so, or offer a refund for any deposits paid. We update our Facebook page regularly with information regarding future sailings so please check there as your first point of information.
We hope so! But dolphins are wild mammals and so can be quite unpredictable. However, your skipper, Jeremy, has literally decades of experience of fishing and offering trips to sea and he'll do his best to try and ensure you get to see these beautiful creatures in their own natural environment. But it's not just dolphins that you may be lucky enough to see. Seals and puffins and migratory birds that are exclusive to this part of the U.K will also be pointed out by your tour guide if you're lucky enough to be close enough.
Trips generally last for around 1 hour. However, please allow a little longer if you are paying for parking etc. as you will need to firstly board the vessel, put on your life jackets and be briefed for safety. One hour is normally long enough to show you many of the local coastal landmarks normally only seen or photographed by land and/or some of the local wildlife.
You can firstly check for near-future sailings on our Facebook page. Because of the unpredictability of the Cornish weather, we don't offer reservations for more than a week or so in advance. But, to request reservations for an announced trip, please either message or call us: 07539 675684
